A Royal Navy recruit from Sutton has marched out on parade to complete his basic training at HMS Raleigh in Cornwall.
Trainee air engineering technician Thomas Bullivant joined the Royal Navy in October and has completed nine weeks of intensive training.
Among family and friends attending Able Rate Bullivant’s passing out parade was his grandfather, Windsor Davies, who played Sergeant Major Williams in the hit BBC comedy It Ain’t Half Hot Mum.
A former pupil of Carshalton High School for Boys, Able Rate Bullivant was attracted to the Royal Navy by the career opportunities and the chance to travel.
With the first phase of his training complete, his next port of call will be HMS Sultan in Hampshire.
There he will learn the skills required to qualify as an Air Engineering Technician.
