Actress Dame Judi Dench wore an exclusive one carat diamond pendant and matching half carat diamond ear-rings in yellow gold, created by designer goldsmith Roger Elliott, who lives in Epsom, (www.rogerelliott.com) at the premiere of the new movie “Nine” in New York. The jewellery is worth in the region of £25,000. The pieces are from Roger’s Oyster collection.
Roger designs exclusive jewellery from his studio in Nutfield, Surrey, near Reigate. He says “I designed the Oyster collection to show a diamond to its full advantage. I am delighted that Dame Judi wore these pieces to such an important event. I chose to design her pieces using yellow gold, as the latest trend in jewellery is a move away from white gold to yellow.”
He specialises in working with only the highest grade diamonds and finest gems, mounting them in contemporary settings. Roger says “They are exclusive pieces as none of them are sold through other outlets.”
Any design can be produced to a client's requirements, but the pieces in Roger's own collections focus on the more contemporary, adventurous settings. A diamond expert, he works in gold and platinum, using only high-grade diamonds (G VS to D Flawless and also 'fancy' colours) and the finest sapphires, rubies, emeralds, tanzanite, black opal, aquamarine and other more rare precious stones.
