It was all day fun at the Ashley Centre on Saturday when an Arabian themed day ended with the switching on of the new Christmas lights.
Visiting families were entertainedby face painters, magicians, stilt walkers, balloon modellers and belly dancers. Shoppers were fascinated by illusion shows, which even included a floating table.
Aladdin and Princess Jasmine from the cast of the Epsom Playhouse pantomime wsere there to keep the crowds entertained until it was time for Father Christmas to turn on the lights.
The following day the fun moved outside to the Market Place where in spite of torrential rain crowds turned up to enjoy the festive fun and to see the tree of memories lights switched on.
