Father Christmas swapped his sleigh for a Model T Ford to travel to the Lower Morden Garden Centre on Saturday.
He arrived in the English-built, four-seater, to host his first grotto of the season.
Matthew Upton, manager of the garden centre in Lower Morden Lane, said: “The Model T Ford was a lovely vehicle. Santa enjoyed his trip and all the children who saw him arrive found it very magical indeed.”
Santa will now be in his grotto during the countdown to Christmas. Admission to the grotto costs £5 and proceeds go to local charity Friends In St Helier (FISH) to go towards projects it is helping in the community.
Mr Upton added: “It was a fun day out for all the family and we hopefully raised as much money as possible for FISH. Lots of people turned out to greet Santa and to join in the fun.”
