Staines Town or Millwall will host Derby County in the third round of the FA Cup.

A home tie with Nigel Clough's men is in the incentive on offer for the winners of a replay at The New Den after Staines achieved a very creditable 1-1 draw at Wheatsheaf Park on Saturday.

Staines fell behind 20 minutes from the end when an acute angled header from Millwall captain Paul Robinson eluded Louis Wells in the Staines goal.

However, the Swans showed great character to hit back and equalise 10 minutes later. Richard Butler was tripped in the area and Ali Chabaan emphatically converted the spot kick. Steve Cordery’s team were pressing forward for a winner when the referee blew the final whistle but must now replay at the New Den on Tuesday week. The winner of this game will be rewarded with a home match in the third round against Derby County.

2,753 people watched the 16th FA Cup tie that Staines Town played in three years, a sequence which has included wins over Coca Cola League clubs Stockport County and Shrewsbury Town.
