Racegoers attending Sandown Park on Friday, December 4, and Saturday, December 5, can enjoy a number of Christmas activities taking place at the racecourse in Esher.

In addition to the racing, which includes the Grade 1 Tingle Creek Chase, there will also be traditional horse and sleigh rides taking people from Esher station to the venue, carol singing, a Santa’s Grotto and characters from Raymond Briggs’ children’s books, including Father Christmas and the Snowman, at the racecourse.

People who get there early can also enjoy a free mince pie and children under 18 get in for free.

Across the road at Esher Hall, there will be a life-sized polar bear puppet, which is controlled remotely and allows the children to get up close to it.

There will also be an ice rink in the hall on Saturday. Access to both of these is included in the ticket.
