A family festive fun event called The Winter Wonderland Children's show will take place on Sunday November 22 at Gibson Hall, in Bishopsgate London (EC2N 3BA) raising money for CHASE hospice care for children and Macmillan cancer support.

This stunning event which is now a sell-out, will feature total of 283 children from London who will perform in choirs, dance groups and in fashion shows on the catwalk for their local children’s hospice charity and the national cancer support organisation.

An audience of 600 will be there on the day along with plenty of celebrities including Miss Leah Wood, Rosie Millard (BBC Arts), Kate Anthony (Coronation Street), Tom Goodman Hill (Eron), Julian Rhind -Tutt (Green Wing). There will be a solo performance by Georgina Castle (daughter of Andrew Castle).

The event is being organised by an inspirational committee of Wimbledon and Wandsworth wives, mothers and friends chaired by Micky Wolff. The objective of Winter Wonderland '09 is to give children a catwalk, a venue and a reason to strut their stuff but also to raise much needed funds for CHASE hospice care for children which supports families throughout South West London Surrey and Sussex who have children not expected to live into adulthood, and Macmillan.

A Spring Carnival, a similar event organised by the same committee in March 2008, boasted David Cameron and Andrew Castle as guests, had features in national magazines and a Sunday national paper and raised £80,000 for Great Ormond Street which was the chosen charity last year.

CHASE fundraising manager for South West London Anna Roche said: “Micky Wolff and her committee have done an amazing job in organising this fantastic event which has had such enormous appeal, all tickets have now been sold! This is fantastic news. This is a really exciting event for CHASE and we are hugely grateful to Micky and her team for all their hard work.

“CHASE supports families with children not expected to live into adulthood throughout South West London, Surrey and Sussex and has to raise £4 million a year mainly through fundraising and donations. The money that The Winter Wonderland event raises will make a big difference in helping us to maintain our service, particularly in these difficult economic times.”

Winton Capital Management is headline sponsor and there will also be 500 goody bags supplied by Harrods and Spinmaster toys are sponsoring the lucky dip.
