Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock says West Ham United cannot recall striker Freddie Sears before January.
With Carlton Cole injured the Premier League club are currently struggling for forwards and had to start Zavon Hines up front with Guillermo Franco against Everton on Sunday.
There were rumours the Hammers would look at recalling 19-year-old Sears, who is on a season-long loan at Selhurst Park, but Warnock confirmed they would have to wait another two months.
He said: "They can recall him but not until January."
The Eagles went in to the two-week international break on the back of one defeat in ten games but Warnock insisted he and the players needed the break.
"We are knackered and were desperate for it," he said.
"We had three games in a week and with the amount of travelling we have done over the last six games we needed it."
