Julian Speroni: Save from O'Neill was world class and claimed everything in his box in a commanding display. Deserved the crowd singing his name as he left the pitch. 8

Danny Butterfield: After a dodgy opening 20 minutes he kept Johnson relatively quiet and forced Lita wide when Boro had a four against one chance. 7

Jose Fonte: Had a few shaky moments but got in some telling tackles and didn't try to do anything fancy. 7

Claude Davis: Seemed to always be in the right place at the right time and is playing with confidence. Had Lita in his pocket. Man of the match. 8

Clint Hill: Got in plenty of blocks and was solid as ever throughout the game. 7

Shaun Derry: Gave the ball away a lot more than in recent matches but was constantly driving his side forward. 6

Johnny Ertl: Gave his all but not really good enough for this league and was constantly being told by management and players where he should be. 6

Neil Danns: Wasted a couple of shooting chances but was full of energy. Also seemed slightly unsure what position he was supposed to be playing in. 6

Darren Ambrose: Brimming with confidence at the moment and kept his cool for his tenth goal of the season. 8

Freddie Sears: Full of running and tried hard but is desperately short of confidence in the final third. 6

Alan Lee: At times he looked like he didn't want to be there but at others he worked his socks off. Set up the goal too. 6
