A missing woman has been found and taken to hospital for treatment.
Kerry Cross, 29, sparked a national hunt with helicopters circling the borough when she went missing on Tuesday.
A police spokesman said she was found with minor injuries and in a disorientated state this morning in a road near Chipstead railway station.
He said: “She has been taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment.
“Police were alerted to her whereabouts after she called a friend for help and support.
“Police attended and found her on her own near her vehicle at around 12 noon.”
Miss Cross went missing after leaving her father’s home at 8.30am in Brookmead Road, Beddington, to go to work in Ullswater Crescent, Coulsdon.
But she failed to arrive at work that morning.
