A new limited edition beer has been brewed exclusively for the Hampton Court Beer and Jazz Festival taking place from Wednesday, August 27 to Sunday, August 31.
The Nelson Brewing Company created the beer, called Heads and Hears Ale, to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII’s accession to the throne.
As well as the new beer, over the bank holiday weekend, the festival will also hold the first jousting competition to take place at the palace’s grounds since the 16th century.
On the music front, the festival is headlined on the sunday night by Courtney Pine and on the final night by the James Taylor Quartet. Other musicians appearing include the Chicago Blues Brothers and Snake Davis.
Festival goers will be able to enjoy the jazz with a large selection of real ales, ciders and summer cocktails.
There will also be a Bavarian Beer Keller from Germany, featuring a range of continental beers and speciality foods.
