Simon Jordan says he is no closer to selling Crystal Palace but is confident the club can achieve promotion to the Premier League this season.

In an interview with the official Crystal Palace website, the Eagles chairman has revealed his thoughts on the debacle at Bristol City last week, his battle to keep the club afloat and his dedication to ensuring success this season.

Having announced last summer he was looking to sell the club, the 41-year-old is still searching for the right people to take over the helm.

"I have got a lot of tyre kickers," he said.

"People that I don't think are the right people for the club.

"If the right person comes along then that situation will take care of itself.

"Right here and now all I am interesting in is making sure that Palace, while under my tutorship and my stewardship, do the best that they can do and that means being at the top of the league trying to get out of this division.

"I think this team is capable of going anywhere in this league and beating anyone."
