Five arrests over West Ewell cyclist attempted murder
Five people have been arrested in connection with the attempted murder of a 39-year-old cyclist.
Filipe Nunes David, which police incorrectly named yesterday as Felipe David, was cycling along Cox Lane in Ewell at around 9.30pm on Tuesday (August 18) when he was attacked by four youths causing serious head injuries.
Mr Nunes David is still in a critical condition in hospital.
This morning officers from Surrey Police executed warrants at a number of addresses in Ewell.
Five males, three aged 16, one aged 18 and one aged 20 have been arrested and taken to Woking and Staines police stations.
