Casuals continued their fine run of form with another good performance on Tuesday, this time at bogey team Walton & Hersham.
Casuals had never won a league fixture against Walton in their previous eleven attempts.
The jinx was to strike again on Tuesday, but Casuals created the better openings and were somewhat unlucky not to win.
The visitors started brightly and Glenn Boosey shot across goal as early as the second minute. Casuals continued to have the better of the opening exchanges, and on nine minutes Tyrone Myton spooned his shot over the bar.
Unfortunately Walton broke and Rico Morris saw his shot saved by Andy Wyn, but from the resulting play Gavin Cartwright headed into his own net to give the Swans the lead on 12 minutes.
This galvanised Walton who grew stronger as the half progressed but failed to create clear cut opportunities.
Casuals responded and Cartwright saw his lob drop just over on 26 minutes, before Myton spurned yet another good opportunity.
Myton redeemed himself with his next miss kick as the ball went wide to Boosey who crossed for Scott Corbett to head home at the far post five minutes before the break.
Casuals began the second half intent on taking the lead and laid siege to Walton goal, Jamal Carr and Yousef Metwali going the closest, although Jon Boswell almost reciprocated Casuals earlier generosity, by heading into his own side netting.
Disaster struck, however, on 58 minutes when Danny Francis free kick was met by Boswell who restored Walton’s lead. It could have been worse as four minutes later Sean Rivers ambitious lob dropped over.
Casuals, though, have a new belief in themselves this season responded positively and Corbett saw his shot drop just over on 65 minutes, before in the last 15 minutes the game turned frantic with Casuals threatening to score on numerous occasions.
Boosey went close following a long throw by Cartwright, before again shooting wide.
With four minutes remaining Scott Hassell sprayed a 50 yard ball out to the left wing which found Nicky Ogbanufe, who in turn laid the ball to Boosey on the edge of the box.
Boosey steadied himself and then fired home a deserved equaliser. Casuals still had time to win it and Ogbanufe and Corbett both had chances.
Deep into injury time Ogbanufe broke free and laid off a good ball to Luke Gay who could only shoot wide as he stretched in an effort to secure three points, but it was not to be.
