The man was assaulted in Cox Lane, West Ewell
A cyclist is fighting for his life in hospital after being attacked in West Ewell.
The 39-year-old man was riding his bike in Cox Lane at 9.30pm last night when he was attacked by four males in their late teens or early 20s.
The cyclist from Epsom was left with serious head injuries after the assault and was taken to St George's Hospital in Tooting where his condition is described as critical.
Police are appealing for witnesess who were in the Cox Lane area between 9pm and 10pm last night.
