Pedal power came to Lambeth on Friday - as cyclists nervous about commuting on two wheels into central London got a confidence boost with a guided ride.
A series of convoys, led by riders from Cycle London, left Brixton and guided novices to Russell Square through quieter back streets, avoiding the rush hour traffic.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson’s transport advisor Kulveer Ranger also took part in the trip.
The trips, which are flexible to take in other destinations, will be leaving every Friday at 8am until October 2 from outside KFC opposite the town hall.
