Freddie Sears notched on his first Crystal Palace appearance this morning as the Eagles beat their American counterparts 5-2 in Baltimore.
Manager Neil Warnock fielded a strong side that included his other summer signing, Darren Ambrose, in the starting line-up that clinched the Eagles' second pre-season win in two games.
Paddy McCarthy was the only player to complete 90 minutes while there were appearances for youngsters James Comley, Allesane N'Diaye and James Cadogan.
Alan Lee, expected to leave the club before the start of the season, opened the scoring when he converted a cross from Sears in the 12th minute but Val Texeira, who had a trial with Crystal Palace UK last year, equalised six minutes later.
Neil Danns had a header ruled out for offside before an own goal from Zack Flores gave Palace a first half lead.
Sears gave the Eagles a breathing space not long after the interval but Jordan Seabrook reduced the deficit.
Palace UK wrapped up the victory though thanks to N'Diaye and a second own goal from Flores.
