Guides, Brownies and Rainbows got back to nature with an adventure under canvas.

The Greater London West Guirlguiding Annual Review took place at Heyswood Campsite in Cobham recently.

Hundreds of girls from Merton, Kingston, Richmond and Sutton took part in a weekend of camping, games and activities.

The celebration came just months before the launch of a year of events marking the movement’s 100th birthday.

Christine Wicks, county commissioner, said: “We have further plans for carol singing at local and main line stations in December, a mother and daughter picnic at Ham House and Morden Hall Park next May, a massive activity camp next summer and the centenary celebrations culminate in a Promise Renewal at the Windmill on Wimbledon Common.”
