Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has admitted his worries over the lack of strikers at the club after being frustrated in his efforts to bolster his frontline.
Despite being linked with a number of names this summer, the most recent being Fulham's American striker Eddie Johnson, Warnock has added just winger Darren Ambrose and youngster Freddie Sears to his squad.
With Shefki Kuqi turning down the offer of a new contract, Calvin Andrew out until December and Alan Lee looking set to leave the club, the Eagles are desperately short when it comes to targetmen but Warnock does not see any new additions soon.
"We need strikers desperately and that's what we are concentrating on," he said.
"We have a few players on trial but that is it and we are not even close to signing anyone which is a bit worrying."
