Wandsworth police are appealing for witnesses following a vicious, unprovoked attack near Putney Bridge on Tuesday, June 16.
The incident occurred at about 11.30pm that night as a 21-year-old male was walking with his girlfriend and a group of friends towards a bus stop in Putney Bridge Road.
The suspect was holding a pint glass in his right hand as he approached the group which he threw at the victim’s face causing serious injuries.
Police described the suspect as a 5ft 4in tall white man, in his early-20s, of medium build and wearing a short sleeve blue shirt, blue jeans and trainers and was with two other white males also aged 20-25 years.
The suspect then ran off with the other two males towards Putney train station, where the males made off on the tracks towards Clapham Junction.
