THE CROYDON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO.9) TRAFFIC ORDER 2009.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 6 July 2009 made the above-mentioned Traffic Orders under the relevant Sections of the Road Traffic Act 1984, as amended by the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be:
(a) to introduce 'pay and display' only parking bays that would operate between the hours of 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive in Mansfield Road, (2 bays adjacent to Nos.199 and 201 Brighton Road and 4 bays adjacent to No.203 Brighton Road). To limit the maximum period for waiting in a parking place to 1 hour and to provide that the charge for leaving a vehicle vary from 20p for fifteen minutes up to 80p (maximum) for 1 hour (maximum) with no return within two hours;
(b) to reduce a length of single yellow line outside No.1 Mansfield Road, which applies between 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday inclusive.

3. A copy of the Orders, which will come into operation on 13 July 2009 (and of any Orders which have previously amended those Orders) can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at the Enquiry Counter, "One Stop" Facility, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey.

4. Copies of the Orders may be obtained from Parking Services, Community Services Department, 9th Floor, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, CR9 1EN.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
