Three youths who robbed an 18-year-old and left him with a cut and swollen face are being hunted by police.
Police said the victim was repeatedly assaulted on a train leaving Mitcham Junction and had his MP3 player, bank card, and mobile phone stolen.
British Transport Police have released CCTV images of three youths who boarded the train in Mitcham just after 10pm on Monday, May 4.
Investigating officer, PC Garry Bellinger said: “This was a completely unprovoked attack that left the victim with a cut to his eye and extensive facial swelling.
“I would urge anyone with information about the incident, or who recognises the youths pictured in the CCTV images to contact us.”
Two of the youths are described as white, with one around 17-years-old and 5ft 11in tall. The third is described as black, around 18-years-old and 5ft 10in tall.
