Style, sophistication and swords were the order of the day at a soiree de sabrage at Le Cassoulet.
Malcolm John’s restaurant in Brighton Road held the special night, where champagne lovers could open a bottle with a sword.
The practice, known as the Art of Sabrage, means you become a member of the Confrérie du Sabre d’Or.
Julian White, Britain’s ambassador of Le Confrerie du Sabre d’Or, was on hand to demonstrate the art while diners were treated to a five-course meal and some fine champagne.
