A man accused of murdering his wife and putting her body in a wheelie bin outside their home in Cobham did not appear at the Old Bailey yesterday due to an administrative error.
Woking magistrates mistakenly gave unemployed chef Peter Wallner, 33, from Hamilton Avenue, a court appearance date that was not available.
He is accused of killing his South African wife Melanie Wallner between Tuesday, August 1, 2006 and June 1, 2009 at their home in Hamilton Avenue.
Mr Wallner is also accused of unlawfully preventing her legal burial and will reappear at the Old Bailey on September 16.
His girlfriend Lilia Fenech was arrested on her return from Malta but released without charge on bail after being questioning by Surrey Police.
