More than 350 disabled and disadvantaged children were given free admission into the big top when Zippo’s Circus visited Beddington Park last week.
The special hour-long performance was organised by the safer neighbourhood team, Conservative ward councillors and circus director Martin Burton.
Teachers from five schools were invited into the ring to join dazzling acts including the Konyot Clowns, miniature falabella horses, fire jugglers and car-driving budgies.
Councillor Peter Geiringer said: “It was fantastic to see the children enjoying themselves at the circus.
“These are some of the borough’s most disadvantaged children but all this faded away in the exciting atmosphere of the big top.
“I must admit I really enjoyed the show myself.”
