TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
SURREY STREET, CROYDON ASSOCIATED RESTRICTIONS

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate the Surrey Street Festival they intend to make a Traffic Order the effect of which will be to:
(a) temporarily close Surrey Street to vehicular traffic;
(b) suspend the existing one-way working in Surrey Street, between its junctions with Crown Hill and Fellmongers Yard.

2. The provisions of the Order will not prevent access being maintained for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to that length of Surrey Street to which this Order relates, or to any other premises accessible from, and only from, that length of Surrey Street.

3. The Order will come into effect on 19 July 2009 and will remain in force for one day; however the prohibition on traffic will only be enforced until normal traffic flow can be maintained.

4. A copy of the Order (and of all related Orders), of the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order and of a map indicating the lengths of road to which the Order relates can be inspected until the expiration of a period of 14 days from the date on which this Notice is published during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at the "Access Croydon" Facility, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey.

6. Any representations concerning the proposed Order should be made in writing to the Order Making Section, Parking Services, Croydon Council, 9th Floor, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, CR9 1EN or by emailing parking.design@croydon.gov.uk quoting reference T&P/PS/JAA/20/SEA within the afore-mentioned period of 14 days.
