Neil Warnock is adamant Crystal Palace will not sell Julian Speroni this summer after the goalkeeper won the Eagles player of the year award for the second year in a row.

The Argentine, who turns 30 today, becomes only the third man to win the accolade in successive season following on from Paul Hinshelwood in 1980 and 1981 and Andy Johnson in 2004 and 2005.

Speroni's impressive form though is believed to have alerted a number of Premiership clubs, but Warnock does not see his number one going anywhere.

"He is under contract for another two years," he said.

"I think he will stay with us and only go to the Premiership if we get there. We value him more than any other club anyway."

Despite Clint Hill being favourite for the award, sponsored by Eagles Telecom, Speroni's 15 clean sheets helped him edge it in a narrow vote on Saturday night.

"It doesn't surprise me at all that he got voted player of the season," said Warnock.

"He has had another really good season.

"I am a bit disappointed for Clint but Julian has been outstanding again."
