Plans involving primary school children learning how to make blogs and use wikipedia that were due to be published next month were leaked to The Guardian.
The plans include children learning how to use a spellchecker, (luckily kids will still learn how to spell on their own, so they wont have to rely on "Mr Clippy") and other general web based skills will be taught from an earlier age. As well as this children would no longer be required to learn about the Victorians, or the Second world war, but must learn how to use the blogging site "Twitter", for some reason.
In my opinion this is yet another ludicrous idea of the governments, if anything, all this will do is expose children to the dangers of the internet earlier than necessary.
And is this exactly a great time for this new curriculum to be introduced? Where will the money for all the computers needed come from?
