The government are encouraging more students to further their education to University by launching financial and other schemes to help them. University is a big decision that needs a lot of thought, but where do you begin? Schools are the first stepping stone in this journey, with higher education days, talks and general information they offer a good start for students. Recently there was a UCAS day in Olympia, London where representatives of universities were there to answer questions and give prospectus’s out to interested students. Being one of those students I found this day really useful and interesting to see how decisions can change just from talking to different universities. There are such variations in courses, locations and culture that make universities the last stepping stone in a big pond that students have to discover themselves with the occasional trip along the way.
