Plans are in motion to establish a nationwide children's’ think tank after research revealed three in four young people believe adults are not doing enough to protect the environment.
British Gas announced the findings this week as part of its Generation Green programme along with its proposal to scour the UK for 20 green and keen children to become members of its first ever environmental think tank for seven to 14-year-olds.
Schoolchildren can nominate themselves, or be nominated by friends, parents, teachers or any adult at generationgreen.co.uk.
To enter, children will need to write 100 words explaining why they deserve to be part of the project, called Our Planet, Our Say, and upload this via the website.
