A violent man is being hunted by police after he failed to appear for sentencing for assaulting two 16-year-old girls.

Josh Bohm, 20, of Sutton, is thought to be dangerous and could attack again.

Bohm’s attacks on June 29, 2008, at a property at Abbotts Road, Sutton, were violent and involved him holding a knife to the throat of one of his victims.

The assaults then continued in St Dunstan’s Hill, Sutton, where the victims managed to escape after a passing lorry driver let the girls into his cab.

Even when the girls were in the cab, Bohm chased after the vehicle and banged on its side, shouting abuse.

He was arrested and later admitted three charges of assault and one public order offence, but failed to appear for sentencing at Sutton Magistrates Court on March 27, 2009.

Since absconding from his court bail, Bohm has been ringing one of his victims; his latest call was made on Saturday, April 18.

Detective Constable Adam Bryant: “Bohm has shown himself to be a violent and dangerous individual. We need to locate Bohm as soon as possible.”

Police believe Bohm, who has a tattoo on the side of his neck, may be working in the construction industry in the Reading area.

The victim he has been intimidating has moved out of the area permanently.

Bohm has had a number of addresses including Riverhill, Worcester Park; Culvers Avenue, Carshalton; and in Surbiton.

Anyone with information call DC Bryant at Sutton CID on 020 8649 0747.
