A hotel chain is offering a bounty of £500 per room for anyone who can find them a property to use in Coulsdon.
Travelodge has announced it is looking to build a hotel in Coulsdon and is offering local residents the opportunity to cash in by helping them find the right location.
The challenge now is to locate a suitable site and this is where Travelodge is appealing for locals’ knowledge to help.
Travelodge is offering everyone the opportunity to win £500 a room when a hotel opens on a site that they have recommended so a 100 room hotel could net the spotter a £50,000 payout.
To help people find the right site, the hotel chain has produced a video offering top tips on what to look for in a site.
Tony O’Brien, UK Property Director for Travelodge, said: “We have identified Coulsdon as a location that could sustain a new hotel due to the excellent transport links and superb local amenities.
"The challenge now is to find specific sites that we can build a hotel on.
“No-one knows Coulsdon like the people who live there so we are offering them a financial bounty to help us find the right site.
"With up to £150,000 available upon the construction of any hotel we hope people will really put their thinking caps on and help us get the sites we need.”
