THE CROYDON (FREE PARKING PLACES) (DISABLED PERSONS) (No. 1) TRAFFIC ORDER 2009

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 27 April 2009 made the above-mentioned Traffic Order under Sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Croydon (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (No.1) Traffic Order 2009 would be to:
(a) revoke the disabled parking places outside No.2 Annsworthy Avenue, Thornton Heath, outside No.28 Apsley Road, South Norwood, outside No.35 Bishops Park Road, Norbury, outside Nos.66/68 Effingham Road, Croydon, outside Nos.29 and 31 Foxley Gardens, Purley, outside No.126 Headley Drive, New Addington, outside Nos.17 and 19 Ladbrook Road, South Norwood, outside No.65 Lakehall Road, Thornton Heath, Outside No.1 Lyndhurst Road, Thornton Heath, outside No.64 Macclesfield Road, South Norwood, outside No.16 Newark Road, South Croydon, outside No.39 Ringwood Avenue, West Croydon, outside No.166 Silverleigh Road, Thornton Heath, outside Nos.10 and 12 Tugela Road, Croydon, outside Nos.3 and 5 Tunstall Road, Croydon and outside Nos.65/67 Waverley Road, South Norwood;
(b) designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons' badge may be left without charge or time limit outside Nos.175 and 177 Albert Road, South Norwood, (2 wheels up on kerb), outside No.3 Beckford Road, Croydon, outside Nos.32 to 66 Bracken Avenue, Shirley, outside Nos.42 and 44 Brampton Road, Croydon, outside No.4 Brantwood Road, South Croydon, outside Nos.107 to 117 Castle Hill Avenue, New Addington, outside Nos.28 and 30 Darcy Road, Norbury, outside No.38 Everton Road, Croydon, outside No.17 Keston Road, Thornton Heath, between Nos.123 and 125/127 King Henry's Drive, New Addington, between Nos.148/158 and 149/159 Longheath Gardens, Croydon, outside No.54 Lyndhurst Road, Thornton Heath, outside Nos.13 and 15 Lynwood Gardens, Croydon, outside No.31 and 33 Nugent Road, South Norwood, outside Nos.48 and 50 Richmond Road, Thornton Heath, (2 wheels up on kerb), outside No.51 Stoats Nest Road, Coulsdon, opposite Nos.24 and 26 Whytecliffe Road South, Purley, (converting a pay and display bay), outside No.42 Windmill Grove, Croydon and outside No.69 Windsor Road, Thornton Heath.

3. A copy of the Order which will come into operation on 5 May 2009 and of all associated Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, at the "Access Croydon Facility", Ground Floor, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey.

4. Copies of the Order may be obtained from Parking Services, Community Services Department, 9th Floor, South West Side, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, CR9 1EN.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
