Families served and volleyed in the sunshine last week at a free tennis coaching session.
The event, held at the Cottenham Park courts in Raynes Park on Thursday, marked the arrival of a new community tennis scheme.
Coaching sessions will be on offer for children and adults on Thursdays and Saturdays throughout the summer.
Head Coach James Webber said: “One of the players today has lived by the park for years but has never got round to playing on the courts before.
"We want to give local people the opportunity to get out and learn on the courts while having fun and improving their game and ultimately create a community club atmosphere.”
