Lambeth police counteracted a spate of robberies in the West Norwood area by raiding the homes of four known robbery offenders in the area.

The warrants, carried out by the Knights Hill safer neighbourhoods team and Brixton's intelligence and priority crime unit, resulted in one arrest and the recovery of a cannabis stash and three stolen mobile phones.

A 35-year-old man who was arrested was released on bail pending further investigation.

Sergeant Matt Cox of Knights Hill SNT said the execution of the warrants should send a clear message to offenders that Lambeth officers will be tough on street crime and those associated with it.
