Julian Speroni: Had a game-long battle with Kris Commons and came out on top, producing two super saves to keep his 14th clean sheet of the season, one more than last year. 8
Nathaniel Clyne: Super performance from the youngster, dominating Teale and producing a real threat going forward. Man of the match. 8
Matt Lawrence: Is keeping Jose Fonte out of the side on merit and gave another solid performance. 7
Paddy McCarthy: Has come back in like he hasn't been away but lost Hulse for that injury time chance. 7
Clint Hill: Committed performance as usual and wore the skippers armband with pride. His powerful header also set up Kuqi for the goal. 7
Johnny Ertl: Took a while to settle and get used to the position but was better in the second half and helped the defence late on. 6
Nick Carle: Booked in the first minute for challenge on Savage and was in and out of the game after that. 6
Victor Moses: Poor in the first half but improved after the break until sending off, which was very harsh. 6
Rui Fonte: Looked like he didn't want to be there and was not given the time on the ball he needs. 6
Anthony Stokes: Took an hour to get into his game but once Moses went off he took on the mantle of playmaker and worked hard for the team. 6
Shefki Kuqi: Excellent finish and worked his socks off harassing the Derby backline. One chance and one goal. 7
Subs:
James Comley (R Fonte, 65): Helped shore up the midfield excellently and ran himself into the ground protecting the back four. 7
