Young firefighters got to grips with breathing apparatus, hoses and even the equipment that firefighters use to cut open cars to rescue crash victims when they spent a day at Epsom Fire Station.
Every school holidays Epsom firecrew lay on “firefighter for a day” courses to teach youngsters about the dangers of fire and to give them a watery day of fun as well.
