Christian youth charity Oxygen held its first awards evening on Wednesday night.
The ceremony was held at the Cornerhouse Theatre, Surbiton, to celebrate the achievements of more than 30 young people who are involved with the project.
Winners on the night included a community service award for 16-year-old Charlie Mansfield of Malden Manor. Callum Pickering of Coombe Boys’ School picked up the award for outstanding young achievement.
The award for contribution to the community was given to the Cambridge Estate Rock Solid Club and the evening also featured beat-boxing, street dancing and music.
Oxygen Director Richard James said: “It was such a privilege to see the young people we know and have worked with celebrated in this way.
“Young people are so often undervalued for their energy, creativity and volume - these Oxygen showcase and awards evenings shows that young people have so much to offer.”
The charity is now embarking on a series of events to raise much needed funds including a Boroughthon on April 4, when members will walk to all seven Oxygen sites across Kingston.
