A mysterious incident outside Kingston College last week is no closer to being solved as police confirmed this week they still have no victim or witnesses.

Police were called to Kingston Hall Road at 3.19pm on Wednesday, March 11, to reports of a disturbance.

An initial statement from the Metropolitan Police said the incident was being treated as an altercation involving a knife.

Kingston police later downgraded the incident to a public order offence, despite forensics officers and sniffer dogs scouring the scene and the nearby Hogsmill River.

St James Road and Kingston Hall road were closed while forensic investigations took place, which caused rush hour misery for commuters trying to negotiate the busy ring road.

A police spokesman confirmed this week that no victim or witnesses had come forward.

Kingston police said two boys aged 16 and 17 were arrested on suspicion of affray on March 11 and have been bailed to return to Kingston police station on Tuesday, April 14.

Kingston police is appealing for witnesses and anyone with information should call Detective Constable Chris Lunt on 020 8247 4909.
