Julian Speroni: Fine performance from our shot-stopper marred only by a defensive mix-up with Jose Fonte that thankfully ended up with Nathan Dyer shooting wide of an unguarded goal from a narrow angle. Warnock quite rightly described his save against Jason Scotland late in the second half as “match winning.” Without Speroni, we would not have been able to be the only team this season to do the “double” over Swansea. 7

Clint Hill: Looked comfortable at centre-back, a position he prefers playing having moved over from his more regular position at left-back due to injuries to Claude Davis and Matt Lawrence. 7

Shaun Derry: Quietly effective in his defensive midfield role once again. Allowed Neil Danns and Nick Carle to get forward. 7

Jose Fonte: Kept up the knack of being in the right place at the right time to poach a goal. Must be showing off to his younger brother, who watched from the bench as an unused sub. 7

Nick Carle: Should have scored early on but still had a decent game. Was hampered by his forward men not always making decisive runs into the box, as he would power forward to the final third only to have to turn and pass sideways as no-one would be ahead of him. 7

Victor Moses: Looked keen throughout, and wanted the ball whenever it was available. A threat at all times, starting to get back to his best. 8

Lee Hills: Provided a good turn at left-back even though he was on a yellow card from the 12th minute after bringing down Nathan Dyer. Needs to practice his attacking long throws, along with Moses, as they continually went straight into the arms of a grateful Dorus De Vries in the Swansea goal. 7

Neil Danns: Our gaffer would have loved Danns’ performance. Full of running, strong in the tackle, won the free-kick off Matty Collins that led to Palace’s second goal and also picked up a yellow card for bringing down Jason Scotland when Swansea were on the counter attack. 7

Shefki Kuqi: Worked hard, drew in the Swansea defenders that allowed Moses and Stokes to play and scored a goal. Can’t ask for much more than that. 7

Anthony Stokes: Still not fully match fit but starting to look like he could start every week such is the difference he makes to the Palace attack. 8

Nathaniel Clyne: Nearly caught out a couple of times, but a good performance nonetheless. Used his pace to get forward and cause problems. 7

Subs

Johnny Ertl: Came on for Carle in the 84th minute and made some good interventions when needed. Doubtful whether he can break into the Palace back-four at this stage. 6

John Oster: Replaced Stokes in the 72nd minute, and although he is more defensively minded as a player, still got down the right side of the park to cause the Swansea defence some problems. 7

Paul Ifill: As a 90th minute sub for Moses Ifill didn’t have enough time to impress or disappoint. 5
