A frock sale at a Kingston school to help parents swap unwanted clothes has been hailed a success.

The event, at St Luke’s Primary School, Acre Road, was held on Thursday, February 26 and attracted more than 50 people.

The evening also featured mini-makeovers by the Body Shop and parents selling homemade crafts such as jewellery and pottery.

Organiser Lucy Jones said the event was to raise money for the school kitty as well as highlight the environmental importance of re-using clothes.

Nearly £1,000 was raised and Ms Jones said the leftover stock would be given to charity shops.
