More than 1,000 youngsters aged from 11 to 17 could converge on Rosebery Park, Epsom, for a Saturday afternoon youth extravaganza planned for July.
The Epsom Playhouse could be involved in the Youth Leisure Day Xtreme to offer indoor facilities for drama and other events while the park would be the centre for outdoor activities and a concert.
Epsom and Ewell Borough Council’s leisure committee is to decide on Monday (July 26) whether or not to approve Rosbery Park as the location for this year’s youth event.
Last year’s youth day was held at Bourne Hall but young people said they preferred a central Epsom location.
The Hook Road arena has been ruled out as being too big and lacking the right atmosphere while Rosebery Park has already hosted large scale events including golden jubilee activities which attracted more than 2,000 people.
