Residents can do their bit for the community by signing up to keep an eye on police activity.
Merton police need new volunteers join their independent stop and search monitoring panel.
A police spokesman said: “The use of stop and search can be a very emotive issue within some parts of the community. The group gives talks to the community about knowing their rights and provides a telephone reporting system for anyone having issues about the way the police carry out their stops.
“Applicants must either live or work in the borough and be available for evening meetings which are held approximately every six weeks.”
