Superbug figures acclaimed by Kingston Hospital in October were wrong - but the right ones are 11 cases better.
The Surrey Comet reported a decline in C diff cases back in October, when the hospital said between January and September there had been 115 cases of the bug, compared with 312 in the same period during 2007.
In fact, there had been just 104.
The hospital said it had been a mistake to rush out the figures before they were approved by the Health Protection Agency, but welcomed the 65 per cent reduction.
