Two teenage boys have robbed a cash security van outside a branch of the Natwest bank in Warlingham.
The robbery, which happened around 11.45am, initially appeared to be a “scuffle” between the teens and the security guard.
But almost immediately onlookers realised it was a robbery.
A nearby business owner said: “I saw the three men scuffling and realised that one of them was a security guard.
"It didn't last long and then the two men made off in a car.
“Both the men looked to be in their late teens.”
The two teens managed to escape from the scene with the cash box the driver had been carrying.
A Surrey Police spokeswoman said they were investigating the incident.
