The pastor of a church which had £2,300 of musical equipment stolen from its office has asked those responsible for the theft to search their conscience.
David Nurse, pastor of the New Life Fellowship pentecostal church on Falcon Road, Clapham, said the equipment - including mixers, speakers, microphones and instruments - was stolen last week.
“Most our members have really dedicated to extra money to buy these instruments,” he said, “For anyone who has information on this I would ask them to call the police. But maybe someone has got a guilty conscience right now and are not comfortable about what they have done.
“Just because we are in a credit crunch we do not need to get to the level of thievery.”
Anyone with information should contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
