ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED BY SECTION 4(7) OF SCHEDULE 5 TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1985, THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS
SOUTHBRIDGE PLACE, CROYDON
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate repairs to a sewer in Southbridge Place they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Southbridge Place, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
(a) no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in Southbridge Place;
(b) the existing one-way working in Southbridge Place would be suspended.
3. Whilst the said works are taking place the alternative route for diverted traffic displaced by the closure of Southbridge Place will be via The Waldrons, Waldronhyrst, Bramley Hill and Southbridge Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on 26 January 2009 and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out in 1 week commencing on 26 January 2009. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
(Vehicular access will be maintained via the diversion route and residential access)
