Julian Speroni: Not as solid as he was at the start of the season but made an excellent save from Webber at a crucial time. 7
Nathanial Clyne: Superb. He was a threat going forward and defending soundly throughout, and on this form Butterfield will struggle to get back in the side. Man of the match. 8
Paddy McCarthy: The bionic man made a miraculous recovery from a dislocated shoulder to play and had an eventful game, scoring, missing an open goal and giving away a penalty. 7
Jose Fonte: Disastrous error for United’s opening goal but kept his composure afterwards and made some excellently timed tackles in the box. 7
Clint Hill: Soild enough but fifth booking of the season will keep him out of Bristol City trip. 7
Shaun Derry: Not in his best form since return to first team and gave the ball away far too much. 5
John Oster: A quiet game considering his recent form but was decent enough. 6
Nick Carle: Was excellent in the second half and seems to have his shooting boots back at long last. 8
Paul Ifill: Was not in the game as an attacking force but did his defensive job alright. 5
Sean Scannell: Struggled to get involved early on but got better as the game went on. 6
Shefki Kuqi: Was poor and looked like he was carrying his injury. Won nothing in the air against Ehiogu. 4
Subs:
Alan Lee (Kuqi, h-t): Gave Ehiogu and Morgan a battle and should start in place of Kuqi on Boxing Day. 6
Victor Moses (Ifill, 56): Was unlucky not to score with classy flick but had little impact on the game. 5
Danny Butterfield (Oster, 79): Brought on to help protect the point late on. 5
