Julian Speroni: Surprised at goal but had little else to do during the match. Kicking was good and accurate. 7
Nathanial Clyne: Even being switched to left back in the second half didn’t ruffle his feathers. Was a threat going forward. Man of the match. 8
Jose Fonte: Distribution was good but sometimes he needs to be more of a threat in the opposition box. 7
Paddy McCarthy: Was comfortable before his injury which looks like keeping him out for a while. 7
Clint Hill: Could have pushed further forward against ten man but defended well when he had to . 7
Shaun Derry: Broke up play well but his distribution was poor and too often he lost the ball. 6
Nick Carle: Best match for a while and looks to be getting his confidence back. 7
John Oster: Full of running again but his set piece delivery needs improving. 7
Leandre Griffit: A few glimpses of talent but did not do enough to earn a longer deal past January. 6
Paul Ifill: Looked a threat again and cross for winning goal was superb. 7
Shefki Kuqi: Blasted home the penalty and was a menace before substitution. 7
Subs:
Alan Lee (Kuqi, 27): Won everything in the air and it was pleasing to see him get off the mark with his first Palace goal. 7
Sean Scannell (Griffit, 60): A couple of good runs but needs to work on his final product. 6
Danny Butterfield (McCarthy, 65): Put in a couple of good crosses. 6
