A woman had to be cut free from her car by firefighters this morning after two vehicles crashed in Green Lane, Morden.
Eyewitnesses said the crash occurred at around 8.15am at the junction with Furness Road.
Dee Gregory, who lives in nearby Love Lane, said nine fire fighters rushed to the scene with the woman eventually taken away to hospital by ambulance.
Ms Gregory said: “That junction is an accident blackspot.
“Something needs to be done. We say it’s like the nightmare before Christmas because there’s always a crash here at this time of year.”
She added that the same spot was the scene of a recent accident involving a motorbike.
The area has been taped off by police.
